Privacy policy
This policy explains what PureHouse Water collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose.

Who we are
PureHouse Water publishes independent buyer's guides for well-water and whole-house filtration at purehousewater.com. For any privacy question, email admin@purehousewater.com.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you subscribe to our newsletter or request a resource such as the well-water testing checklist. Subscribing is double opt-in — you confirm by clicking a link in an email we send, so we only keep addresses that asked to be on the list.
- Usage data, collected automatically as you browse: pages viewed, referring site, approximate location, browser and device type, and which outbound product links you click. We use this in aggregate to see which guides help and to improve them.
- Anything you send us directly, such as the contents of an email you write to us.
We do not ask for or store payment information, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
How we use it
- To send the resource you asked for and, if you subscribed, occasional new guides. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
- To understand which content is useful and improve the site.
- To respond when you contact us.
- To keep the site secure and working.
We never sell your personal information.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to measure traffic. It sets cookies that help us count visits and see how pages perform. This data is aggregated and not used to personally identify you. You can block cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out browser add-on, without affecting your ability to read the site.
Who we share data with
We share data only with the service providers that run the site on our behalf, and only so they can do that job:
- Our hosting and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare), which serves the pages and keeps standard security logs.
- Google Analytics, for the traffic measurement described above.
- Our email service provider, which stores our list and delivers newsletters and confirmations.
- Affiliate networks, which set their own cookies when you click an affiliate link so a purchase can be credited to us. See our affiliate disclosure.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We don't otherwise sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep your email for as long as you're subscribed. Unsubscribe at any time and we remove you from the active list. Aggregate analytics data is retained on a rolling basis under our analytics provider's standard settings.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from any email using the link at its foot.
- Block or clear cookies in your browser at any time.
- Access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you — and, depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or the CCPA), object to or restrict its processing. Email admin@purehousewater.com and we'll act on it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
